Meet the Supervisor
Your Supervisor of Elections
Nina Ward
I started as a volunteer with the Bay County Supervisor of Elections in 2010 and took a full-time position in February of 2011 as the Election Worker Coordinator. I took over as Chief of Operations shortly before Hurricane Michael in 2018. I then served as the Deputy Supervisor of Elections from 2021-2024. I was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis on May 3, 2024, to assume office on June 8, 2024 and was subsequently elected without opposition that same year.
I am a lifelong resident of Bay County and love this community. My husband Curt and I have been married for more than 20 years and have twin daughters currently attending high school in Bay County. My family and I are active members of Northstar church where I have served on the worship arts team since 2011.
I have a passion for defending democracy and will continue to provide Secure, Accurate, and Fair elections for you, the voters of Bay County. During my tenure I have administered over 40 elections including local, state, and federal. I understand what it takes to earn the confidence of Bay County voters and my mission is to continue to provide the voters of Bay County with a secure process they can be proud of and have full confidence that their vote is counted accurately.
